Transfer deadline day is in full swing and the frantic final hours almost always throw up some unlikely moves, so could Arsenal's Granit Xhaka still be on the move from the Emirates before the 11pm (GMT) deadline?
Xhaka seemed almost certain to quit Arsenal during this month's transfer window after he angrily reacted to fans booing him off the pitch against Crystal Palace in October.
Disgruntled Arsenal fans called for Xhaka to leave following his reaction to the home crowd at the Emirates and he was left out of the first-team picture for a number of games in the wake of the incident.
However, the arrival of Mikel Arteta as Unai Emery's replacement at Arsenal in December saw the Swiss international Xhaka get a second chance at the Premier League club and he has been a regular starter for the new Gunners boss.
However, there has been a late flurry of bets on Xhaka to leave Arsenal before the transfer window slams shut tonight with his odds on a move to Hertha Berlin cut into +200 (2/1) from +500 (5/1) with British bookmakers Betfred.
Only Hertha In For Xhaka
A move to Hertha Berlin was lined up at the start of January with a deal agreed in principle between all parties and a move to the German capital is still as short as 5/6 (-120) with Paddy Power and Betfair.
AC Milan, who are busy rebuilding their squad after a number of disappointing campaigns, are second favourites to sign Xhaka at +1000 (10/1) with a switch to the San Siro best priced at +1600 (16/1) with Betfred.
West Ham are in the market for midfield reinforcements as they look to boost their survival hopes but a move across London is rated unlikely at +2000 (20/1) shot with Paddy Power and Betfair.
A return to former club Borussia Monchengladbach is also a +2000 (20/1) shot, while a move to rejuvenated Serie A side Inter Milan is +2500 (25/1) with the same two bookmakers.
Meanwhile, a shock return to his native Switzerland with Basel is seen as unlikely at +3300 (33/1) with Manchester United and Juventus +4000 (40/1) rank outsiders to move for Xhaka before the deadline passes.
