Week 3 of the NFL Betting Season heads to Rio for the first of 9 international games this season. The Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens face off at Maracana Stadium. Dak and the Cowboys got back in the saddle by delivering a decisive win over the Commanders. The Ravens wilted in the fourth quarter against the Saints at home.
The season has yet to disappoint in terms of surprises. The Super Bowl champion Seahawks didn’t miss a beat without Sam Darnold, who is likely to return in favor of Drew Lock this week. The Raiders and Bengals are 2-0. Both Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams went down to injury Sunday.
Meanwhile, Josh Allen and the Bills continue to dominate on both sides of the ball. And Travis, Taylor and Patrick have picked up where they left off before Mahomes' injury last season.
Week 3 Games Of Note: Cowboys Ride Into Rio
Jim Nantz and J.J. Watt make the call for CBS from South America in the national backend of their doubleheader. The Chargers-Bills game in Orchard Park leads in the clubhouse for the Fox Game Of The Week.
The Falcons and Packers play Thursday night. Park Avenue botched this one on the schedule - the woeful Falcons are slotted for prime-time standalone games the next three weeks.
The NBC Sunday Night Football game sends the Rams to Denver. The Eagles and Bears meet in an NFC playoff rematch/potential playoff preview on Monday night.

Week 3 NFL Best Bets: Game-By-Game Breakdown
Thursday, September 24
Atlanta Falcons at Green Bay Packers, 8:15 p.m. (Prime)
Buzz: The Falcons appear to be staking an early claim in the Trinidad Chambliss Sweepstakes. They’re a league worst minus-38 in their two losses, scoring just 16 points. The Packers managed to ruin the Jets’ hopes for a 20-0 season with a 20-17 win in overtime. Don’t be scared off by the touchdown spread in this one. The Falcons will be hard pressed to reach double digits. Lambeau Leaps galore.
Best Bet: Packers -7 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Sunday, September 27
Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. (Fox)
Buzz: Josh Allen’s dream season continues against the low-voltage winless Bolts, who must travel cross country and kick off early inside their nifty all-new Highmark Stadium. That’s a tough formula for a sputtering offense. Through Sunday’s early games, Allen led the NFL with 582 yards passing and 4 TDs rushing. He completed 66.6% of his pass attempts and threw 5 TDs against zero picks in Weeks 1 & 2. Justin Herbert has found the end zone just once.
Best Bet: Bills -7 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Carolina Panthers at Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. (Fox)
Buzz: The Browns got their first (and perhaps last) 2026 victory by default at Tampa Bay Sunday, thanks in part to a deluge and two-hour weather delay. The Panthers rolled thought Atlanta 34-3. Carolina’s scored 71 points in two games, despite being just 1-1. Bryce Young can nab back-to-back road wins by limiting the turnovers and staying nimble in the pocket. He gets the edge over Deshaun Watson here. But it’s surprisingly close.
Best Bet: Browns +2.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
The Colts’ defense now holds the NFL record for most yards allowed in the first two games of a season with a jaw-dropping 1,029.
— Evan Sidery (@esidery) September 21, 2026
The 1976 Seahawks previously held the record allowing 884 total yards. pic.twitter.com/EATk5nju3C
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts, 1 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: This game carries some extra weight given that AFC South may well come down to the third or fourth tiebreaker. C.J. Stroud and the Texans’ offense was kept out of the end zone by the Bengals Sunday. Houston’s running backs gained a paltry 18 yards. The Texans face back-to-back 0-3 starts with a loss here. The Colts showed offensive spunk in their OT loss to Patrick, Travis and Taylor. But Indy’s defense posted the worst Week 1 & 2 numbers in terms of yards allowed (1,026) in NFL history.
Best Bet: Over 43.5 Points (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
New York Jets at Detroit Lions, 1 p.m. (Fox)
Buzz: Gang Green saw its hope for a 20-0 season crash in a 20-17 overtime loss at home to Green Bay at MetLife. The Jets outplayed the Packers throughout and led 14-7 late in the third quarter, before remembering they were the Jets. This sets up as a bounce-back spot for Detroit at home. The Lions come off the mini-bye and that ugly 41-31 loss at Buffalo. And the Jets defense leads the league – allowing just 197 yards per game. Gang Green is 2-0 ATS. Let it ride.
Best Bet: Jets +7 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam

Kansas City Chiefs at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: The Dolphins worked to keep pace with the Falcons in the Trinidad Chambliss Sweepstakes. Miami is an AFC-worst minus-36 in its two losses and has yielded 62 points to San Francisco and Las Vegas. This line opened at 10 points, perhaps a nod to the potential for hot and humid South Florida afternoon slowing down Travis, Taylor, Mahomes and Chiefs. The Dolphins need all the help they can get from Mother Nature. Perhaps a Category 3 hurricane might come in handy. Overall, the Chiefs are 12-17-2 ATS as double-digit favorites with Mahomes at QB. KC’s defense gets right against the aquatic mammals.
Best Bet: Under 45.5 Points (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Tennessee at New York Giants, 1 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: The Titans (+7) continued their losing way, crumbling last against the Eagles in snagging the backdoor cover in a 24-20 loss. Big Blue visited SoFi to face the Rams Monday night. The Giants have the makeup to be a tough out at home. The Titans struggle on the road, going 2-6 away from home ATS last season despite getting an average of 9 points per game.
Best Bet: Giants -6 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers, 1 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: The 2-0 Bengals are winning with defense. Cincy kept C.J. Stroud and the Texans out of the end zone. Aaron Rodgers got pummeled in Pittsburgh’s 20-3 loss at New England and immediately began throwing his coaching stuff under the bus. This game will be a nice national coming-out party for this year’s Bengals’ well-rounded roster. The hook here the dangerous, but the Bengals dominate on both sides of the ball as the boo-birds fill Acrisure Stadium.
Best Bet: Bengals -3.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Seattle Seahawks as Washington Commanders, 1 p.m. (Fox)
Buzz: The defending Super Bowl champs didn’t miss a beat with Drew Lock stepping in for Sam Darnold. Seattle has allowed just 17 points, and its defense ranks No. 2 in the NFL, allowing just 214 yards. The Commanders, meanwhile, stumbled to a 0-2 start and will be without Jayden Daniels for the duration. This number shows deference to the challenge wrought by traveling east from the West Coast for an early Sunday afternoon kick. This total is the lowest of the week for a reason. Embrace the dark side. Washington may not find the end zone.
Best Bet: Under 40.5 Points (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
New England Patriots at Jacksonville Jaguars, 1 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: : Drake Maye found his inner Mac Jones this season. The 2025 MVP runner-up has 4 inexcusable picks against just one TD pass. The Patriots, who claimed “no distractions” this offseason despite the Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini saga, have been dogged by mistakes, pre-snap penalties, turnovers, injuries and lack of conditioning. The Jaguars, meanwhile, lost 20-13 at Denver Sunday. Don’t forget the weather here – EverBank Stadium doubles as a sauna during in September. New England’s defense can contain Trevor Lawrence – but 3 TDs may enough to beat the Patriots at home.
Best Bet: Jaguars -2.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: More NFC West-on-NFC West crime. The 49ers have become an after-thought in the NFC West, thanks to the Hollywood Rams and Super Bowl champion Seahawks. But the 49ers may have the deepest overall roster in the NFL. They’ve outscored their opponents 62-20. The Cardinals reverted to form in Week 2 in a 31-7 loss to the Seahawks. Keep that difference in mind here, where point differential and strength of victory are both divisional tie-breakers.
Best Bet: 49ers -8.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Minnesota Vikings at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: The Pirate Ship ran aground Sunday in a rain-delayed loss the Browns. The Buccaneers face the very real possibility of a 0-3 start as home underdogs. Expect Raymond James to be filled with purple-clad snowbirds as the Todd Bowles Hot Seat begins to glow. The Vikings knocked out Caleb Williams and the Bears Sunday, holding Chicago to 3 points after the Bears put up 59 in Week 1. Brian Flores’ defense keeps Baker Mayfield on the run, or on his back. The caveat here remains the weather. Raymond James turned into a heated swimming pool Sunday.
Best Bet: Vikings -2.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys, 4:25 p.m. (CBS)
Maracanã Stadium, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Buzz: The NFL’s quest for World Domination resumes Sunday, as the Ravens and Cowboys play in Brazil in the first of nine international games this season. The total here jumps off the page. Field conditions are always a concern in these games. At least the weather should cooperate. Dak and the ‘Boys rode roughshod over Washington Sunday at home. The Ravens got caught napping on the Saints in a 24-17 home loss.
Best Bet: Under 52.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
New Orleans Saints at Las Vegas Raiders, 4:25 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: Who needs Fernando Mendoza when you have Kirk Cousins? The 2-0 Raiders have elevated themselves out of the NFL’s basement. Cousins put up a 65.5% completion rate and posted a passer rating of 113.1 in Sunday’s 26-14 win over the low-voltage Bolts. How do you like that? The Tyler Shough Experience comes to Sin City off a pair of second-half comebacks – one of which resulted in a stunning 24-17 road win over the Ravens Sunday. The week’s best sneaky-good matchup goes to the Raiders thanks to their edge on defense.
Best Bet: Raiders +3 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Los Angeles Rams at Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m. (NBC)
Buzz: NBC gets another potential gem this week as the Rams – who played Monday night – visit Mile High Whatever It’s Called Stadium. The Broncos defense found its form Sunday containing Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars in a 20-13 victory. Denver’s offense, meanwhile, remains a major concern. The Rams could take this win and cover with 21 points. Give the points, if this number stays under 3.
Best Bet: : Rams -2.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
JALEN HURTS TO DARIUS COOPER!!!!!!!!!! pic.twitter.com/YEiErrM55A
— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) September 20, 2026
Monday, September 28
Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears, 8:15 p.m. (ESPN)
Buzz: The Bears went from scoring 59 points in Week 1 to scoring 3 points in Week 2. Caleb Williams went down with a right hamstring strain. QB Tyson Bagent would start for Williams. Philly owns the shakiest 2-0 start in the NFL, after struggling to beat Washington and Tennessee. Jalen Hurts delivered his own “Music City Mini Miracle” Sunday, leading a 65-yard drive for the game-winning TD with 9 second to play. The weather hampered Philly Sunday. Heat won’t be an issue this week. But the Bears’ defense will.
Best Bet: Bears +3.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
